We’ve had our busiest year yet, with our lights being used in numerous displays up and down the country in a wide variety of settings. Here, we’ve collected them all together to highlight the different ways our lights can be used to create a number of show-stopping Christmas lighting displays, from festive grottoes to seasonal safaris.
We met the Colchester Zoo team early last year at the Great Hospitality Show in Birmingham. The team wanted unique, bespoke Christmas figures for their Magic of Christmas event and approached us with a request to custom-make this spectacular animal light kingdom. We loved making the team’s vision a reality and the results were breath-taking.
The team at Holkham Hall were aiming for an enchanting and magical Christmas lighting display, something of Narnia-esque proportions. Connectable string lights, stars and snowflakes, along with pre-lit garlands and wreaths were used to create this spectacular whimsical winter woodland effect.
Guy’s Thatched Hamlet
Originally, the plan for Guy’s Thatched Hamlet was to illuminate just two trees. Members of our trade team visited the site to give advice on the project and suggested the addition of cluster lights for the roof. The end result looked spectacular as they chose to light the whole of the roof, as well as the trees.
Nantwich Town Council
The aim for Nantwich Town was to make it as bright and multi-coloured as possible. Using our low voltage, connectable string lights in red, green, pink, purple and gold made their Christmas display beautifully vibrant.
The brief for this project was to transform the space at Brixton Rooftop into a winter wonderland, complete with an enchanted forest, woodland lodges and thousands of fairy lights. We provided hundreds of metres of connectable outdoor LED string lights, in addition to warm white festoon strings, to add to the festive feel.
Cuerden Valley Park
Cuerden Valley Park wanted to create a magical experience for their charity Christmas event. We conducted a site visit and recommended a 40m string light canopy, featuring 3,000 LEDs, to complement the over-head beams within the walled garden. We also added battery fairy lights to the fruit trees as there was limited power, and a teepee tree was used as a focal point in the orchard.
Trentham Shopping Village
The aim at Trentham Shopping Village was to create a show-stopping seasonal display for their Christmas lights switch on; they opted for blue and white connectable lights for their large tree and Santa’s Grotto. The lights, along with the impressive firework display, made the event a huge success.
Barton Grange Garden Centre
The team at Barton Grange Garden Centre were looking for something very specific, and so we helped them to create a display featuring bespoke, colour-changing LEDs with cherry blossom caps, for their large 6m trees which line the entrance walkway.
