For permanent installations, it's advisable to use outdoor-rated extension cords and ensure proper electrical connections. Bear in mind that outdoor plugs will need to be covered within a waterproof box such as the DriBox. It’s also useful to note that for festoons which are unsupported, we recommend that catenary wire is used to support the festoons using the handy clips on the top of each bulb. This ensures the whole length will be supported in bad weather and helps to prevent water ingress.
